The sky's of Siberia were filled with drop pods falling from the sky, and hundreds of wings of fighters battling for control of the skies.
Siberia was one of the four points on Earth that the Shadow Hunter's desperately wanted. If they could establish a foot-hold on the Arctic Circle, they could gather their forces their and then head south for a massive attack on two major continents.
The NTGA and TDF have dispatched all fighter wings to try and destroy as many of the enemy fighters and drop pods as they could. Other orders were to mobilize strike groups to attack at the enemy HMOMCS locations so that their numbers may be lessened. But it's almost as if the more they kill, the more come crashing down to the ground.
Strike-force 1, which was being led by TDF Colonel Ian Kingston, was mobilizing at a small base just near Siberia.
"Get those orbital guns on-line! The more weapons, the more we have a chance at hitting something!" said Ian fiercely over the communicator as he patrolled the perimeter of the base.
"We've lost another fighter wing! Dispatching reinforcements from Shu-Than Base," said a TDF officer.
"OK! I've waited long enough! Strike-force 1, group at my NAV point. We're moving out."
"But sir, some of us are still in the hangers!" said another TDF officer.
"It doesn't matter! You'll just have to catch up! All groups mobilized? Good. Move out!"
Their HMOMCS strike force began to move out, all twenty or so of forty-three HMOMCS's lined up in perfect formation.
"We split up just before we engage the enemy. There'll be two wings. Stiles will lead the wing on the left-- I'll take a group down the right! Good luck people! And watch your six," said the Colonel, and then he ordered radio silence.
It took about an hour to reach their objective. Then, once they were in attack formation, they engaged the enemy group, while making sure there was going to be no debris flying down on them.
"Fire at will!" the Colonel said.
The enemy and the Strike-force were now engaged in battle.

While this happen, Vice Admiral Jack Griffin was leading a fighter squadron to help the Strike-force, and the fighters in the sky. They were the reinforcements that the TDF officer spoke of.
"OK, people. Listen up! We are the NTGA Falcons-- the most elite ground, sea and air combat unit the NTGA has to offer. We are going to help out our friends battling in Siberia. We will fight for our brothers and sisters. We fight for our freedom!" said Jack.
A cheer rose up around the other fighters, but it was quickly silenced.
"Now listen, people. We only break formation after the defense drones have been dropped. You roj?"
Many 'yes sir's' went around the comm.
"Good. We're almost there-- prepare to engage the enemy!"

Now, you must be wondering what happened between March and October. Well, here it is.
In late March, the NTGA and TDF finally beat off the Shadow Hunter threat in Africa. Two star ships were dispatched there just to make sure nothing else got through.
In early April, the Shadow Hunter's finally broke through the Inner defenses. Drop pods we're seen being dropped all over the world-- but it was more concentrated in some areas then in others.
Heavy fighting in Southern Asia and Central North America caused heavy casualties for NTGA and TDF troops. Due to the large numbers of enemy forces, the allies had to fall back to more secure locations.
NTGA reinforcements finally arrived from Balon 4. A fleet of about 84 ships began to engage the enemy fleet orbiting over Asia. But the NTGA fleet had to pull back after two days heavy fighting because of the ships that were dispatched to protect the ships dropping drop pods over Asia.
TDF forces met heavy resistance in Iraq and Pakistan. They held as long as they could, but eventually they were pushed back to far and they had to retreat. Some other cities and bases in Southern Asia were also taken or destroyed. All NTGA and TDF forces pulled back and created the Fox Perimeter, which stretched from Central Turkey, down to-wards the Iraqi border, and then stretched up again along the Great Wall to the shore of Northern China.
The Shadow Hunter's had been taken by surprise from a small NTGA elite group known as the 5th Ranger Patrol. A new, major Shadow Hunter resource processing facility was destroyed, and they also retrieved an experimental Shadow Hunter HMOMCS.
The NTSS Gettysburg was finally retrieved in late April, along with the other experimental HMOMCS and tech they had retrieved from downed Shadow Hunter star-ship.
In early May, a counter-attack was launched by the TDF in Asia along the central part of the Fox perimeter. Though it was only a moderate success, they did manage to retrieve some tech from a Shadow Hunter communications base.
The NTGA and TDF were now put on the defensive as the Shadow Hunter's launched a massive counter attack in Asia and North America. Turkey was taken after the Shadow Hunter's met heavy resistance from heavily entrenched TDF forces. Iraq, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia were also taken. The Fox perimeter was broken. All forces along the Fox perimeter were ordered to fall back and create new defensive positions. The most major of these was the Stalin Line.
In North America, heavy fighting was reported near the Denver metro-zone. Heavy fighting was also reported along the Blues line (which stretched from Chicago to Edmonton, then down to Seattle and around the Northern part of NA shore). But NTGA and TDF forces pushed back Shadow Hunter forces for the time.
Then, throughout June to late September, the Shadow Hunter's launched massive campaigns to try and permanently take Asia and North America. Though the did gain a lot of ground, the humans did not fully get pushed back out of the two continents. There were two sides to Asia: the Pei-Shan line, and the Moscow line. The Pei-Shan line stretched around the border of China. The Moscow border stretched from down and up from Moscow. They whole part of western Russia was still under NTGA and TDF control.
There was only one new border in North America: the Gettysburg line. That stretched from Seattle to Dallas, and then straight down to Mexico city.
Through out all these months, fighting was also reported in Africa, Australia and South America, though there were only few large pockets of Shadow Hunter activity. These continents were still fully under human control.
Here's a map of the world if you need any ideas on where I am talking about in all this:
